  • Is Trex more expensive than a wood deck?

    Trex offers several lines of decking materials, assuring there is a solution for every budget. While the initial cost of Trex decking and Trex railings are usually more expensive than pressure-treated wood boards, the overall total cost of ownership may be less since treated boards will require regular and frequent staining and sealing, especially in Northeast Ohio.

  • What is the lifespan of a Trex deck?

    Trex decking materials are designed to last between 25 and 30 years. All Trex composite decking is backed by a generous warranty, depending on the line you choose.

  • Is Trex slippery when wet?

    Compared to other materials, such as PVC, Trex is much less likely to get slippery when it’s wet. Trex is often the ideal choice around pools for this reason. It also resists mold and mildew, helping to prevent additional slippery situations that result from the growth of these organic materials.

  • Do Trex decks get hot?

    While certain darker shades of Trex materials can get hot, for the most part, they will not feel any hotter than wood stained a similar dark tone. If you’re concerned about heat on bare feet, opt for a lighter tone of Trex material or Trex’s Transcend Lineage line which features heat-mitigating technology.

  • Does Trex decking get moldy?

  • Will furniture scratch my Trex deck boards?

    Trex is more scratch resistant than traditional wood boards and PVC decking.

  • Does Trex come with a warranty?
